Intro Post

I recently used my ScanNCut2 to help me create this cute little fabric vase:

I fused some fabric onto Peltex and then cut out the pieces using my

I wasn’t sure how the thick and heavy Peltex would do in the ScanNCut2, but it cut like butter! You can see the two small test cuts I did in the upper right corner of the photo above.

Remember to always test cut when trying out a new material!

After cutting my pieces, I added painted fabric, tissue paper, and some stenciling.

Then I took it over to my Brother sewing machine to stitch the vase together.

The super duper easy-to-follow pattern for the vase is from the book

Fast, Fun, and Easy Fabric Vases by Linda Johansen. It was my first time making a fabric vase and I love the way it turned out.

Talk to you next week!
