A Fun Assortment of Summertime Inspired Projects
Welcome summer with a potpourri of summer inspired projects including a pineapple inspired banner, cool vinyl drink decals and a felt tic-tac-toe board! Get the details below!
Let's check out the Pineapple Banner first!
You will need:
ScanNCut, Low-Tack Adhesive mat, Colorful cardstock, twine or string, wooden clips, non-toxic glue

Steps:
- Download the cutting files to your machine.
- Start with Pineapple_01.fcm. Select 2 contrasting shades of green and align with pieces of paper.
- Repeat step 2 so that there are 6 of each shape.
- Open Pineapple_02.fcm on the machine. Select a yellow shade of cardstock and cut out the wavy oval shapes.
- Repeat step 4 so that there are 6 of each shape.
- Open Pineapple_03.fcm on the machine. Select a bright color of cardstock to contrast with the yellow and cut out the letters.
- Assemble the pineapples: Layer the larger and more rounded green shape under the other green.
- Use clips to secure all the pineapples cutouts to a length of string. Make sure the pieces are evenly spaced.
- Hang up your banner!

You Will Need:
ScanNCut, Glass drinking bottles, Brother Vinyl in 2 bright colors, Brother Roll Feeder
Download:
- Download BottleDecals.fcm to your machine.
- Verify that the length of each decorative shape matches the circumference of your glass bottles; adjust using the tools on the machine if they need to be made larger or smaller.
- Set up the roll feeder with one of the vinyl colors.
- Cut out the pattern out of vinyl.
- Repeat steps 2-3 with the other color selection.
- Carefully peel up the vinyl shapes and apply to the bottles, stacking the 2 colors used on top of one another.
- Done! Make sure to hand wash bottles only.
Get your X's and O's on with a Felt Tic-Tac-Toe Game
You Will Need:
ScanNCut, Standard Adhesive mat, High-Tack Fabric Support Sheet (Brother), stiff sheets of 12 x 12, craft felt in assorted colors (at least 4)
Download:
- Download the cutting files to your machine.
- Open TicTacToe_X.fcm on your machine. Choose a color of craft felt and apply to the mat using the high-tack fabric support sheet. Cut out the X shapes.
- Repeat step 2 for TicTacToe_O.fcm. Vary the color this time.
- Open TicTacToe_BoardLines.fcm one your machine and cut out using a darker shade of felt.
- Choose a lighter shade of 12 x 12 felt to use as the board backing.
- Lay out the board lines in a tic-tac-toe board formation on top of the felt board back.
- Use the X’s and O’s to play a giant game of tic-tac-toe!
