Anna Aldmon started her quilting journey over 30 years ago with hand piecing, hand quilting, and hand appliqué. A career with computer systems lead her toward digitizing which she fell in love with as it offered possibilities for consistently making hand appliqué designs faster and easier.

Her appliqué designs for embroidery machine are based on works by well-known Hand Appliqué artists, including as Darcy Ashton, Pat Campbell, and J. Michelle Watts. Working closely with each artist, she transforms their hand-appliqué – market proven designs – into “Appliqué in the Hoop” products.

Anna’s designs range in complexity from ‘beginner’ to ‘advanced’, using a simple three step process. Her most recent designs incorporate ‘Quilting in the Hoop’ and simulated ‘Trapunto Effect’ on top of the appliqué fabric. Included, as well, are cutting file formats (FCM & SVG) for cutting machines including Brother’s ScanNCut.
