The essential materials for fabric printing include:

1. Ink: Use Brother Genuine INKvestment Ink cartridges for all your fabric printing needs. These superior ink cartridges ensure bonding with the fabric's fibers for long-lasting, vibrant prints. The Brother Genuine Ink colors are available in black, yellow, cyan, magenta, and a 4-pack includes all colors..
2. Fabric roll: Specialized fabric roll is crucial for transferring the ink onto the fabric. You can easily print your design then peel off the plastic carrier sheet.
3. Fabric printer: You'll need the Brother PrintModa Studio Fabric Printer.
4. Laminating sheets: Laminating sheets give a unique look to projects.
5. Water soluble stabilizers: Water soluble stabilizers are great for embroidery. Use them with your PrintModa fabric to add an embroidered touch to your project.

The Brother PrintModa Studio fabric printer, has two trays. Tray 1 for paper printing and tray 2 for rolled printing. For tray 1 you can use whichever 8.5 x 11 cut sheet paper you would like, even cardstock! Tray 2 only works with Brother Fabric rolls, you cannot print paper rolls in this tray.

However, we strongly recommend testing different paper types before making bulk purchases.

When printing on inkjet paper (coated paper) or glossy paper, it is essential to ensure that you select the appropriate print media in the printer driver or the application you are using to print or adjust the Paper Type setting on the machine accordingly.

If you are printing on photo paper, load another sheet of the same photo paper in the paper tray.

When working with photo paper, remove each sheet immediately after printing to prevent smudging or paper jams.

To avoid any smudging, refrain from touching the printed surface of the paper immediately after printing, as the surface may not be entirely dry and could leave marks on your fingers. For more information, please review our help documentation.
