Using tea towels as gift wrap is a popular eco-friendly way to wrap your Mother’s Day gifts with a useful material that can be used afterward. The P-touch Embellish ELITE is the perfect Brother tool to personalize your wrapped gifts using ribbon, gift tags and labels. Here are 2 unique ways to wrap your Mother’s Day gifts using tea towels.
Level of Difficulty: Easy
Time to Complete Project: Less than 5 minutes
Lay your tea towel horizontally in front of you. Place your bottle at the bottom center of the towel about 7-9 inches from the bottom. Fold the bottom of the tea towel up on top of the bottom portion of your gift.
Take the bottom right corner and push the center of the tea towel toward the wine bottle. This will create an inner fold along the side of the bottle. Repeat this step with the left side of the tea towel.
Take the right upper folded area and overlap it across the bottle. Repeat using the left upper folded area. Continue to fold and wrap the wine bottle with the towel.
Gather the top of the towel around the bottleneck using the rubber band to secure.
Print a 30-32 inch decorative ribbon using one of the templates in the Design&Print 2 app under patterns or ribbons. Tie a bow around the neck of your gift to hide the rubber band.
Lay out your tea towel. Place your gift in the center of the tea towel with the long edge of your gift facing the left upper and right lower corners.
Pull one corner of your tea towel across the center of your gift. Take the opposite corner and do the same, tucking any excess towel.
Gather the remaining two ends of the tea towel and gather tightly. Tie in the center and tie again to knot. Tuck any excess pieces of towel for your desired look. Use scissors to remove any tags that may interfere with the look of your gift.
Cut the cardstock to your desired size and punch a hole to tie string though. Use your Design&Print 2 app to create a custom message for your gift tag. Attached to your cardstock and the other end to your gift. We added a wooden spoon for an extra special touch.
